Many of America's wonderful towns and cities have become predictable. You
can travel to different towns or cities but essentially see the same
stores or franchises everywhere.
Because of locally owned businesses, the Mount Shasta area remains an
adventure in shopping,
lodging and services. Local owners, offer products and
services based on what best describes their personality and character.
Not a corporate mandate, and not on what can cheaply be imported from a
third world country. Local ownership makes shopping an adventure, you never
know what you are going to find find!
The local business owners (men and women who live in the Mount Shasta Area)
encourage visitors to buy from locally owned businesses. By supporting locally owned businesses,
visitors are sustaining the people
who daily work to keep the Mount Shasta Area a wonderful place for
generations to come.
Local business owners are personally concerned about local issues because
our families live here. The owners of businesses in Mt. Shasta, Dunsmuir,
McCloud, & Weed are (just to name a few) our City Council members, our
volunteer firefighters, our volunteer hospital workers, our scout leaders,
and our little league coaches the list goes on and on. Locally owned
businesses are the backbone of any community. Because we live here, we care.
